“Cheniere’s E & C Way of Slaying Dragons

The presentation will identify several activities Cheniere utilizes that have led to project execution successes. These activities include identification of several key principles that include “What we believe in”, “What we have accomplished”, and “What we value”. Adherence to these initiatives have allowed Cheniere to realize world class recognition. There are three key areas of project execution strategy that have defined the basis for Cheniere’s project execution successes: Permitting, Import/Export Strategy, and overcoming physical site challenges.

Judy Clark, Director, Project Engineering, Cheniere Energy

Judy Clark is currently Director, Project Engineering at Cheniere Energy and has 35 years of experience in the oil and gas industry with a primary focus on consulting, project management, and project engineering. Technology areas of expertise include Liquefied Natural Gas (LNG) liquefaction and import facilities (onshore and offshore), natural gas peakshaving facilities, petrochemical plants, specialty chemicals, nuclear power and refineries. Successful project engineering management in her fields of competence have resulted in repeat or extended business with clients.

In addition to her current role managing the engineering execution for the Cheniere Stage 3 project at Corpus Christi, she guided the Facility Security Plan for the early First Ship Cargo from CCL, managed the engineering and construction offsite facility interfaces for the current Corpus Christi Liquefaction (CCL) facility while maintaining project budget, schedule and engineering quality.

Ms. Clark has contributed and presented at international and local industry conferences most recently at the Texas A&M women’s STEM conference. She has successive appointments on the Advisory Council for the Women’s Energy Network and the Advisory board for Cheniere’s Women Inspiring Leadership.

She has a BSME degree from University of Houston and a PMI certification as Project Management Professional.

Grand Hall in the Rice Ley Student Center

Detailed campus maps are available on the web at http://www.rice.edu/maps/. The Ley Student Center is located in the central part of Rice campus. The Central Campus Garage, which is the closest parking facility, is located to the across the street from the Student Center.

In the possibility the underground parking is full, the second closest parking is the West Lot. Continue down the Laboratory Loop Road to the stop sign. The campus also offers a bus shuttle that runs about every 15 minutes as it loops the campus.
